You need to ship to the address provided through checkout. If the buyer is asking you to change it, tell them that you are not able to change the address. Then offer to cancel the order as 'problem with buyer's address' and relist, so they can buy again with the correct address.

The laptop? Absolutely do not ship to a different address.
Two issues:
1. It is the buyer's responsibility to provide the correct shipping address during checkout.
It is the seller's responsibility to ship to the address that appears on the Order Details page only.
2. A common scam attempt would be for a totally unrelated account to contact the seller, claiming to be the buyer, and attempt to misdirect shipment of the sold item.
So ..... check to seee that the message that you received is actually from the real buyer.
- If it is, explain to the buyer that you can only ship to the address originally provided. If they have already paid & need to change the shipping address, you wold need to cancel the sale. Then relist so they can purchase using the correct addy.
- If it wasn't, report the scammer's account to eBay.
Just to check ...
you haven't been communicating via text with the buyer, correct?
your eBay account actually shows that the buyer has paid, correct?
