Manifest

I sold then shipped a DVD.  I've been trying to track it.  Under "Track Package" it states "Manifest."  I cannot find anything on ebay help that tells me what "Manifest" means.

This was a simple shipping - I shipped 2 items that day, the other item is "in transit."  What does "manifest" indicate? Can anyone help me please?

What carrier did you use - I've only seen that term used with FedEx or UPS that indicates a label has been created but the package is not in their system yet.

Did you drop off the package and have it scanned by the carrier.

I would guess it means the same with USPS - did you get a scan when you shipped the package, or drop in a bin without a scan?

Pursuant to instructions by my mail person, I put it in my outgoing mail bin.

Ask your mail person what they did with it.

I used to drop off packages in my post office lobby bin, but stopped doing that when I had too many scenarios like yours - no tracking usually until delivery. It was nerve-wracking, although no packages were ever lost.

Try the tracking on usps.com, it updates before eBay, but all you can do is wait and hope it updates soon.
