hello, I am a new eBay seller so I have never confronted this issue before. As the subject title describes, the tracking information says a delivery attempt was made, but the carrier could not access the delivery location. I have contacted the buyer with no avail. Has anyone run into this before, if so, how do you resolve this? Thank you in advance.

If item is returned to you for a bad address supplied by the buyer, and buyer still wants the item, you can send a PayPal invoice for the cost to reship to the correct address.

< the carrier could not access the delivery location >
That doesn't mean the same thing as a bad or nonexistent address. One day I had to have a tree service over here to remove a huge limb that the wind had broken off my tree. They parked the chipper vehicles out in the street. While they were here, I saw the mail cart approaching to deliver to the cluster box where I receive mail, but the tree trucks were in the way so the mailman turned around and went back the other way. That's an example of "could not access" the delivery location. Another example would be if the mailbox is on the porch and a big dog loose in the yard.
If your customer's delivery location was blocked like that, or otherwise physically inaccessible – temporarily, of course; I assume that he had been getting mail there all along – his mail should be delivered the next trip the carrier makes. Or you can call the post office to see what they say.

Hi @digdu58 This is for your buyer to worry about. If you've been paid and shipped to the address provide by eBay, you've done your part. Stop trying to contact your buyer. You're making trouble where none yet exists. Online tracking says all kinds of things. For unknown reasons, USPS tracking often says there's a problem with delivery when there isn't, then confirms delivery the next day. Sit on your hands. You don't have anything more to do unless and until your buyer files a complaint with eBay.
It would be an excellent idea for you to buy a few things on eBay and get experience at how it all works. Good luck!
