I sold a 1300$ Camaro Z28 smog pump on eBay for 600$. Guy disputes it as a fake with zero evidence of it being so. I have documented car it came off all number correct. After 5 months ebay sides with buyer and withdraws moneys from my account. But I never get the part back. How is this possible.

The minute the buyer fileed a Returns Request stating the item is not as described, you should have accepted and provided a prepaid return shipping label. Once you get the item back, then you refund the buyer within 2 days. I have no idea why this was drawn out so long. If you refuse, ebay can close the case, refund the buyer, and not require return of the item. You get a defect for an unresolved transaction and you do not get the FVF credited. If you want the item back, you will need to contact the buyer and make arrangements to send a prepaid shipping label to have the item returned.

Hi @gpwhls
The seller must provide the buyer with a prepaid shipping label before eBay can get involved in order to be sure they get their item back before a refund is issued.
Once eBay is involved in the claim … they almost always refund the buyer with the seller’s money and let them keep the item.
I’m very sorry this happened. I’m afraid your only hope of getting your item back at this point is to deal directly with the buyer. They may be willing to return the item if you provide the shipping money.
