WHY hasn't Ebay adapted the system so that individual postcodes for a listing location in IRELAND are not shown on the listing? Yes of course the buyer should see where the item is located, and any potential bidders so they can estimate shipping costs - but these can be done on county or regional information, NOT using the Irish eircode (zipcode postcode) which is individual to every household. Which means that any viewer of the listing can see EXACTLY where the item is located - and using any gps - potentially go and knock on the door! Not the same in USA or Europe where just the general neighbourhood is revealed through the postcode.
This breeches personal data and the only remedy I can see is to give a false address/location for the item!

Your question might better be answered if you post it in your home site, either ebay.com/ie/ the Ireland based site or ebay.co.uk the U.K. based site's community.
This is the U.S. based site's community and we use a different system of postal codes which only gives an exact address if a plus 4 number is added to an area/town zip code.

Thank you. It was difficult enough to find a place for this question and I had no idea the links were taking me to a US site!
Thanks for your help.
