Linking my PayPal account to my ebay account

Why won't my account page allow me to attach my PayPal account for selling-buying??

Why did ebay remove it's 800 customer service number??

I need to contact someone at ebay for help with my paypal account and I can't seem to get the chat window to open and NO 800 number to call, has anyone else hade issues with getting help??

Any answers would be greatly appreciated,

                                                            Thanks to anyone!!............B.C.

Linking my PayPal account to my ebay account

The ability to link a PayPal account is no longer available; however, any previously linked account remains active.
If you’re unable to create or revise listings due to this update, disable the Require immediate payment with Buy lt Now option in the listing.

eBay has been phasing out PayPal ever since it sold it off (or rather ever since the time that it had agreed to keep it on in the sellout agreement).  With Managed Payments there is no need for sellers to link a PP account.   For buyers the link from My eBay* was solely as a method of identification for consideration in setting buying limits, and there are alternatives for that.

When did eBay ever make its Customer Service numbers public information? My recollection is that from the time they switched from the old message based CS system (the first reply was always a bot reply, but when you kept responding to that you would get a human you could message back and forth) about a decade ago you still had to go through the Help and Contact procedure to get a phone number and PIN code to call and enter the PIN, like you do now (with the addition of a "Call me" option).

ETA:  PayPal is still an accepted form of payment for paying the contractor that handles Managed Payments for items purchased.

*I'm not sure whether the link to opt out of having to login to PP at checkout (which was never the same link as the one to verify a buyer's identity/set up for sellers to accept payments through PP; it was always done as an opt-in while you were checking out with PP) remains.

Linking my PayPal account to my ebay account

You can no longer link your Paypal account to your eBay account because PayPal is no longer eBay's payment processor.  You can continue to use PayPal to pay for purchases, along with  Pay, Google Pay, or your debit/credit card.

For selling, info on eBay's Managed Payments:

Linking my PayPal account to my ebay account

  Hi woodland_knome,

Thanks for answering my questions. I see the big picture now concerning PayPal's relationship with ebay. I thought that I was being rejected from attaching a new PayPal account to my ebay account because my old PayPal account had been deactivated due to lack of activity (I was no longer selling on ebay for the past couple of years). My main concern was having a new PayPal account for receiving funds as I want to go back to selling on e-bay but I'm leery of having funds sent to my debit-card account, even though I've never had any problems with receiving/sending funds on e-bay. I'm just a little paranoid because I've previously had my debit card account hacked into from the private sector (NOT any problem with e-bay), and was wanting to use a new PayPal account fro receiving funds, that's all. Worst case, I'll just have to start a new separate debit card account to attach to my e-bay account, my current debit card account is my primary account for my business, this is my concern, I'm getting to complicated with this, I'll go back to a simple separate account like I had in the past.

Concerning the "800" customer service number that used to be on the e-bay page, I can't seem to find it and I'm a dinosaur, I much prefer talking to a live human being rather than getting trapped into "Help template boxes" that can't answer my questions or problem. I don't mind chatting but I seem to have trouble bringing up the chat box. It's probably simple, I've chatted before for help. Phone # leads to pin code, got it.

Thanks Again!!...I'm headed in the right direction now!!
