Items removed for Copyright/Intellectual Property/Counterfeit violation. What violation?????

We just had 3 items (from the same manufacturer) removed for allegedly violation copyright, intellectual property or counterfeit.  We've sold 10+ of these without issues.  See below link for a previous listing.  I've read through ebay's policy, including VERO, and don't understand what was violated.  I even spoke to a rep, who struggled through the whole conversation, merely reading off some computer screen.  But she could not quote exactly what my violation was.

I am not a "reseller," nor did I make any claim to being the manufacturer or inventor (e.g. copyright and intellectual property).  And no one has accused me of selling a counterfeit item.  The rep kept saying that if my items had issues, then it would reflect badly on the manufacturer so manufacturers have the right to restrict sales.  That is illogical.

  1. We never claimed to be "authorized resellers," and ebay buyers understand that.  Indeed, almost no individual seller on ebay claims to be that.  Is there a policy on ebay that we must all be "authorized resellers"?  Did I miss the email after signing up?
  2. If any item has issues, e.g. counterfeit, that is reflected in the Seller's Feedback.  It nothing to do with the manufacturer.   This isn't Amazon or a personal blog.
  3. It defeats the whole purpose of ebay, which is a forum for individuals (mostly) to sell items they don't need or want.  Since when did ebay have a policy where we have to contact Manufacturers for permission before selling items?  Can you imagine what would happen to ebay if that happened?
  4. If such a policy does exist, are they claiming that we can't give the item for free to friends, family and strangers?  After all, if the gift is bad, wouldn't that also tarnish their reputation (according to their twisted logic)?  In other words, once you buy or get an item from Liberty, you must own it for life with no transference, inheritance or reselling rights?  I see no such a stipulation on Liberty's site, their user manuals or ebay.
  5. If they claim that I violated copyright by showing their box, then their issue is with ebay's policy of uploading real photos of the item.  Would the violation then be removed if I remove the photos?

In all seriousness, I'd like to know what policy I violated -- and how this is different from the millions of other offerings on ebay.  Clearly it's not copyright, trademark or intellectual property since I never claimed to have designed or invented the item.  Nor did I make any claims to the box design.  I will state this explicitly in the Description if necessary.  And there is no proof or complaint of counterfeit.

Liberty harassed me several times, demanding to see a receipt for the items.  As stated in the Description, these were donated to us many years ago so where would we get receipts?  In fact, we have an office full of donated items, none of which have receipts.  What charity or individual demands that the donor or giver also provide the original sale receipt?  Do you include the original receipt when you give a gift, or sell anything on ebay?

I'd appreciate any advice or insight.  The policy seems to defeat the entire purpose of ebay.  We're small group of volunteers (not an official charity) that organize events for sick children, and rely on item donations and ebay for funding.  We don't have the resources to navigate or fight this.  If necessary, we'll just go to Craig's list, in-person auctions, etc.  Thanks.
