Item was delivered but i never received it.... need help...

First time i ever ask the community.

I bought something and it says it was delivered, but never got it, all other mails before and after i got, its not the money, its avery small part for a computer, so maybe this just got lost.

I contacted the seller to let him know and he responded right away to call ebay, see what they say and if nothing to let him know but to not click anything else, just call, the issue is ebay doesnt give you any easy way to reach them, everything is automated and they interchange meanings of words.

So i told the seller there's nothing that shows a direct #, even when they give the automated chat or agent, you click and all they give is the automated chat... so i ask the seller if he has direct #, been now two days he is not responding so i went ahead and clicked on the item i inquire about, to let ebay know it was delivered but i never received so it got lost, and if there's anything that could be done... and unfortunately it opened a case, ebay responded that i received the item, hence the part when i was saying they interchange meanings of words, asking you to let them know if you havent 'received' an item, so i told them just that, for them to then respond here is the prove it was delivered.

In any case, i assume there's not much to do, but before i go and buy another one elsewhere, since the seller doesnt seem open to work a deal )which he doesnt have to of course, he is not at fault), i wanted to see if there's any ways or advices here.

Any thoughts appreciated

Other than asking the post office to check on where it was delivered, you can check with neighbors to see if they got it by mistake. Really nothing else to be done in cases like this. Sorry.

yes, i figured, and its no biggie, its a $6 item, but i told i might as well check now in case there's something more expensive that get lost in the future:)

And yes, i waited a couple of day because sometime it says its been delivered to then arrive a couple of days later.

After that, i asked everyone in the building which is a townhouse, and if no one is there, the mail can be tossed through a gate with an opening, thats what they always do, so the postman doesnt need to go to any neighbors. And it says it was delivered at the right address.
