Item returned to me because the buyer gave me the wrong address.

I mailed an item I sold. It showed delivered in the tracking. But a week later I received the item marked "return to sender this person does not live here". I sent a pic to the buyer and asked if they gave me the wrong address. They said yes and gave me a different address. They did not offer any money for me to ship again.

Hi @acts412sica

There are two ways to handle this:

Refund the buyer for the item price only (not including shipping if stated as a separate cost). Relist, and provide the new item # so the buyer can repurchase with the correct address. Remind the buyer to review/edit the address at checkout, before submitting his payment.

OR...

If you both have PayPal accounts, you can send the buyer an invoice through PayPal for the reshipping cost. You'll need the buyers PayPal email address. (You can alternatively use Venmo or other payment service.)
