My item was removed by eBay because they said it violated the weapons policy.
I copied most of my listing info from other listings (both active & completed).
After they removed my listing, I checked and the other listings are still active.
I have been on eBay a long time and I have experienced this a few times.
Why is the policy followed across the board?
It sometimes feels like am being singled out.
This particular was listed as a Fixed Price listing for a few days before I converter it to an auction.
eBay waited until the day the auction was scheduled to end (it had bids) to remove it!

Do not relist until you figure out the problem, which you may have to contact ebay to do.
Either someone reported your listing or the bots found some sequence of words or letters it didn't like.
Never judge your listings by others, as many of them will be caught as well if they are in violation. You of course are free to report any violation your see as well.

Just because eBay hasn't caught all listings that violate policy (there are over a billion active items at all times and most violations are caught systematically) doesn't mean it's OK to list items that violate policy. Go to the policy and read it to determine whether you are allowed to list an item. eBay also relies on members to report violations when they see them.
eBay doesn't single you out or time the takedown of the listing. Someone likely reported it and the timing on when eBay acted on it was coincidental. Sometimes they take down items after the listing ends, sometimes they take down an item even before it appears in search.
Also, do not copy text from other listings. That's copyright infringement and a violation of federal law.
Do not try to relist the item or you could lose your ability to continue selling on eBay.
