Is Authenticity Guarantee service mandatory or optional?

Hello.

I know that authentication guarantee services is requiring sports cards over $250 (for raw) and $700?750? (for graded) sent to authenticator.

And those items are shown with a blue badge with Authenticity Guarantee.

However, I spotted some cards that are over that price and do not have Authenticity Guarantee badge.

Is it possible to skip Authenticity Guarantee?

I have not sold any items on eBay so I do not know how it works on seller's side, so am curious if the Authenticity Guarantee process is optional for items.

The authenticity guarantee is mandatory if the item meets the requirements.  You can read the details here in the trading cards section -

I see many items that are not on authenticity guarantee even though they meet the requirement. 

How is that possible?

There must be something about the item that makes it not eligible.  Is the seller in the US?

Yes. 
The seller is in US. 
Picture is used for example. 
Those cards are from same seller. As you can see, those cards are in same price range, but some are in Authenticity Guarantee program and some are not.

I am not a card person, but I see that the DK Metcalf is both graded and autographed.

The guaranty requirements include -  "Autographed cards must be raw pack-pulled cards to be eligible"

So I believe that means a graded autographed card is not eligible.

The Kevin Durant is not autographed, is graded, so it has the guarantee. I'm looking at the Mac Jones - I don't see the exclusion yet, but it is there 🙂

The Mac Jones includes a jersey patch, which makes it not eligible.

"Cards that contain additional items, embellishments, or memorabilia, such as patches, jerseys, swatches, equipment, props, relics, costumes, or wardrobe cards"

 First of all, thank you so much for replying to my posts. 
As for the soccer cards and Lebron card, it is not autographed and it does not have patches as well. How come these do not have Authenticity Guarantee?

you can probably play detective as well as I can, since I know nothing about cards 🙂

The first has 2 cards, right?  So I assume that would not qualify.

The Guerrero is graded and autographed.

The LeBron card does have the authenticity guarantee.
