Is 6 digit delivery confirmation code necessary?

My brother didn't realize purchase was local pick up; seller was nice enough to deliver. No communication with my brother now and can't get 6 digit delivery confirmation code. Seller needs this. Help.

For a local pickup, your brother should have received a QR code/6-digit code from ebay I believe.  Have him look in his ebay Messages, and possibly his email client, and print it out.  The seller then needs to scan that code with his/her smart phone.  If no smart phone, the seller can print out the ORDER DETAILS and have your brother sign it.  Another option is for your brother to leave feedback for the seller stating he has received the item.  That should help if the seller receives a "ding" for not having the QR code/6-digit code.
