Intellectual property infringement

Hello everyone,

I recently had a listing for a Celtic FC stadium print removed, and I'm seeking some guidance to understand why this might have happened. The print prominently features the words "Celtic FC", "Celtic Park" and captures the essence of the stadium. (please see the image of the stadium below)

I'm uncertain whether the removal is due to the use of "Celtic FC" in the print or if there might be concerns about intellectual property infringement related to the stadium image itself. I want to ensure that I adhere to eBay's policies and respect any rights associated with the artwork.

Has anyone else experienced a similar situation with sports-themed prints or merchandise? Could you please share any insights or advice you might have? I'm looking to rectify the issue and ensure that my listings comply with all relevant guidelines.

I appreciate any help or feedback you can provide. Thank you!

Do not relist until the matter is resolved.

What was the reason stated for the removal?

Did you receive a VeRO notice?

Where did the print come from?

You can not list or sell your print unless you have a license or permission from the rights owner or the artwork is in the public domain.

Thanks for getting back to me. Just to clarify, I actually designed the Celtic FC stadium print myself. I'm a bit puzzled about the issue here. Is it the club's name or the stadium image that might be a problem?

I see that there are  sellers offering similar designs on eBay without any issues.

If this is your original work of art, then yes it likely is a name, logo, or other trademark issue.  More specifically, if your use of the name, logo, etc., is misused, is in anyway misleading, or otherwise infringes, you can use it.

Suggest you email the VeRO member and ask the specific reason.  Regardless, do not relist until the complaint is lifted by the VeRO member, which may involve you making modifications to the artwork, listing title, and/or description.
