@melvin_guerrero

Read the information in the eBay help pages below:

> Protecting your account

> Get help with a hacked account

"Signs your account has been hacked:

  • Changes to your password, contact information, or address details
  • Bids, offers, or purchases that you didn’t make
  • Listings that you didn’t create

If someone has used your eBay account without your permission, you should contact your credit card company and your bank. You may also want to file a police report."

Re: I think my account have been hacked!

Someone may have indeed hacked your eBay account and made a purchase, but you have no reason to suspect that the seller was the one responsible.

Most likely someone obtained access to your account, and then chose an inexpensive item to test whether a purchase would go through successfully or not. That seller happened to have an inexpensive listing available.

Purchases of trading cards or postcards are common test purchases. Most likely the scammer will provide a random address. If a test purchase goes through and is not noticed or challenged, the hacker will most like try to purchase expensive electronics for delivery to a freight forwarding address for shipment outside the country.
