Try using a link on a different page to answer that user's question; others have run into the same error lately. It appears that there is a bad link somewhere that does not pass along the correct message age when replying to a question.
If you cannot find a different link that works, try navigating to the user's feedback or profile page and composing a message there using the Contact link.
