I bought/paid for a item back in February. After a couple of weeks I received a box from the seller. I felt the box and it was very light but I opened it anyway. Much to my surprise I received packing paper. I contacted the seller and they said that the parts were in the box when it was shipped. I did notice that the box had 2 different kinds of tape on it. Your regular paper back packing tape and clear plastic packaging tape. They said someone must have opened the box and took the parts out. I have never seen anyone peel tape off without you being able to tell. Plus these parts are specifically made for a C5 Corvette. They would not refund my money or replace the parts. I filed a dispute with EBay and they sided with the seller. These parts were $180. I have pictures of the box I received and according to the weight on the box the parts were never in it. What can I do ? I contacted my credit card to try to get my money back but they just recharged it back to my account.

I think you may have filed the wrong case with eBay. You would have needed to file a Item not as described case because the item was not described as an empty box. If you file item not received case the seller will show that the tracking number shows delivery. I don't know why the credit card company charged you again maybe because of the same delivery issue.

Sounds like you did not open the correct type of dispute. Did you select ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED, missing parts, when you opened an ebay Return Request? If not, then that's the problem and you will have to fight with your credit card company, as ebay closed the case. Plus once you open a case with the card company it voids any ebay one.
