I bought three items from one seller here on eBay for an upcoming project. This is a completely new project that I have not done before so I was not sure on the typical prices for the resources on said project. The listing title stated that it was 32.8 ft of neon Led lights. they had a drop down menu on the listing that had the options for width and diameter of the lights I chose my preferred width and diameter and made the purchase.
What arrived at my door was three Amazon packages. Each package contained only 5 meters of led lights apiece along with a gift receipt. Not only was there that discrepancy between the listing title and actual item, but when I went to the Amazon store where the lights were purchased, the item that had arrived at my door cost a little less than half of what I paid.
I contacted the seller stating i bought this the items with the title of 32.8 ft but only 5 meters of each arrived and if i should be expecting more. I did not say anything about my knowledge of the drop shipped item. They replied saying i should have seen in the drop down menu that had the 32.8ft size in it. and they were right. the dropdown menu has 4 options. Two of the options state the length and two of the options state the width and diameter.
The buyer does accept returns. But in my opinion, I think this is very deceitful with the title clearly stating that the item is 32.8 ft. The price of this item was only a few dollars cheaper than the Amazon store item that is actually 32.8ft so i do think this was intentional to trick people into purchasing. I would not only like to get my return and money back but I want to stop this person from drop shipping items in such a grifter manner. What steps should I take?

Hi @aaea_3068
eBay has your back here and the No returns accepted return policy by the Seller does NOT apply in this situation. Go to the item in your Purchase history and file a return using the reason that it does not match pictures or description. eBay will issue you a pre-paid return label and you ship the items back. The Seller will have 2 days to refund you when they get the items back, failing that you go back to the claim and ask eBay to step in to force the refund.

@aaea_3068 Adding to my fellow mentors advice do not return the items to Amazon if the seller asks. The return needs to be sent back to the seller.
