I accidently sent out several 2nd Chance Offers when I should have sent one at a time.

I accidently sent out several 2nd Chance Offers to the next 3 highest bidders.  But I only have ONE item and I'm afraid I might get multiple purchases.  If that happens I hope returning their money won't be a problem.  Has anyone else made this mistake?

You have to cancel the transactions you can't complete for being out of stock.

Each cancellation leads to a defect.

I think I see what you're saying, if I sell it to a second chance better and then someone else wants to buy it, i just have to cancel the other transaction. But I don't understand what you mean by a 'defect'.

Go to a transaction defect on https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/member-behavior-policies/order-cancellation-policy?id=5298

You offered your item to more than one person. If more than one person responds by buying, you need to cancel the transaction(s) you can't complete.

I'm not sure there is an issue here unless two or more sales on the same item have already been made ... and I am not reading that that has happened.  The 2nd Chance offer flow may work like the Send offers eligible function whereby multiple Buyers Watching an item get an offer sent to them but the one that purchases first gets the item and the others cannot purchase.  I have sent many offers this way and have never had more than one customer purchase an item as the result of a sent offer t multiple customers.

Thank you for your reply, I just called eBay and that's exactly what they said also. Once the quantity from one has gone to zero, no other purchases can be made. Thank you so much for your help. I appreciate it.
