I purchased an item on Ebay, but at checkout, Ebay didn't automatically add the state tax to the invoice the way it always has & the order went through without showing the tax amount due: $15.50 item price + $5.50 ship = $21.00 Total that I've paid. Therefore I still owe the seller the 8% tax of $1.68 to cover what seller owes Ebay for state tax. I've never a situation where Ebay failed to add in the state tax to the invoice total & don't know how to do this. First I contacted the seller who also has never had this happen; they don't know what to do & suggest I contact Ebay. So I tried Ebay's automated assistant but there's no option that addresses this situation & it was of no help. Please tell me how I can make this tax payment to the seller.
