Please I need help.
I am from the Netherlands and have had an eBay account for way over 10 years now.
The account has been dormant (sleeping) for approximately 5 years. Not a single transaction was made by me. Suddenly eBay started charging my bank account for various transactions and fees.
I have been trying to get in touch with eBay and started using the chat-bot, hoping I would be transferred to a human agent h choosing the correct options. Finally I got to the point where it says "have us call you" ...
I tried this, but the only countries I can choose from are the US and Canada. It then says " click here if your country isn't showing" it then gives me a phone number to call, but it is in the US, this would cost me many Euros I don't have...
What would you advise me to do?
I want the money refunded on my account and cancel the option for automated withdrawals from my bank account.
I already changed my password to prevent any further damage should my account have been hacked, but now I would like to talk to a representative but have no clue how. A week or two ago I already sent an email to eBay, but nobody seems to read it.
Please help if you have any ideas on what I can do..
Thanks!!!

You may have better luck reaching eBay through the Netherlands site:
From the Help page there you should be able to request a call back in the Netherlands.
Or you may be able to contact eBay via social media:
https://www.facebook.com/eBay/
For general help with a hacked account, see here:

I see that an item was sold on your account last September (and perhaps more items were sold earlier - they fall off search after 90 days), so eBay is collecting their fees:

Were you aware of that activity back then?
If not, then apparently your account was compromised.
In general, eBay expects members to keep their own account information safe. As such, eBay may, or may not, provide relief from the fees incurred on your account.
The "hacked account" page will only offer a human callback option, but not a human chat.
And, while the Social Media team may not be able to assist with account issues, they may be able to point you in a different direction.
Instead, you may want to start with the "fees" page, click the "Contact us" button, type "agent" into the chat box, and then select the human chat option.

They may be able to see whether hacker postings were removed from your account last summer.

It shows you sold a Drone in September.
Was it you that sold it?

Thank you for your reply.
No it wasn't me who sold a drone.
Usually I buy and sell second hand items on the Dutch site Marktplaats.
I owned a drone a couple of years ago, but it broke during the maiden flight and this was 2020. I sold it for parts on the Dutch Kingsday in 2021.
I never posted it online anywhere, so this is a real mystery
