How to get back to using ebay mobile site

I have a Samsung A20 phone. I prefer to use the ebay mobile site. I downloaded but did not like the ebay app so I deleted it. But after that, I can't get back to the mobile version of ebay. Chrome will only allow me to access the classic desktop version now. (And I do not have the box checked for the desktop site in my browser settings.) Not sure what happened here. If I go to m.ebay.com (the mobile site address) the browser redirects to the desktop version. Anyone have knowledge of how I might fix this?

How to get back to using ebay mobile site

Very odd. If I open a new tab in Chrome 93.0.4577.82 on my Android 7.1 phone and navigate to ebay.com, by default I am shown the mobile version of the site even though the page address is shown as ebay.com. If I scroll to the bottom of the main page, I see the following:

Mobile / Classic Site

The Mobile site link is not highlighted because I am already on the Mobile site, and the "Classic Site" is a link to the following:

https://www.ebay.com/?redirect=mobile

In order to see the actual desktop site version of the page I have to specifically request the desktop site using the browser's three-dot menu.

Do other browsers also show you the desktop site version of eBay in a new tab?
