I purchased 2 items back in july that were scheduled to be released in October. Fast forward, and they were just released in December.
I tried contacting the seller, who has stiffed MULTIPLE buyers on similar items, yet no response has been provided. I'm quite certain the seller has just ghosted everybody and is no longer allowed to sell.
The eBay chat assistant is virtually helpless. How can I at least get something back for all this hassle?

I am sorry but the seller violated ebay policy. Sellers must ship within 40 days of the date of the sale even for pre-ordered items.
Buyers only have 30 days from the last estimated delivery date to file a not received refund request on ebay.
If you paid using PayPal you can file a refund request there up to 180 days from the date of purchase. If you did not use PayPal then contact your bank or credit card about a charge back.

Forgot to throw that extra wrinkle in.....I actually used a gift card to pay for the items 😑
I'll see if I can get somebody from the card company to speak to, but I appreciate the info!

I know with eBay gift cards you're sadly out of luck since the eBay Money Back Guarantee expired 😞
