How to file a claim for item damaged by UPS?

I shipped an item thru eBay and UPS destroyed during shipping.  How do I go about filing a claim?  UPS nor eBay make this easy to handle.  ebay sure takes a lot in fees but DO NOT OFFER a phone # for help!

eBay is not that carrier, they have no skin in the game for processing an Insurance claim with any carrier ... go to the carrier's website to file a claim.  I am sure you will need addresses, pictures, etc.

@inceptions   Oh that's right ... I was thinking USPS not UPS ...
