How to Respond to A bid on Item

@rimu-deals.  The link to the listing says that the listing was removed.     NOT sold.

I didn't click on the other link because it's goes off the eBay site

When you auction an item for 7 days buyers bid on it and you sell to the auction winner.   You don't  "accept " bids.

Currently there is no sale.    Be careful not to take sales offsite or you can be scammed.     Buyers pay using eBay checkout,  all messages are made using eBay messaging.

How to Respond to A bid on Item

Thanks for the Help.

Is 7-days the standard auction time when listing items one ebay without paying any extra fee's?

I cant remember how many days it said when I listed the item for  sale .

I received an email from eBay saying that there was a bid on my listing for  penny I had listed for 699$ starting bid , and 7 days ...  I responded to the bid for 1,500$ as "Expect bid"  . Now i have the option to "confirm payment' from seller in my seller summary .  So now I wait until the 1,500$ is in my eBay balance and then I will be able to see the address and details regarding where to ship the item?

Little confused ,

How to Respond to A bid on Item

@rimu-deals     As I said before that item has been removed NOT sold.  When you click on the item number it goes to "we looked everywhere error page"  when viewed on a computer.  On a cellphone it goes to page saying  it was removed or not available.

I am not sure why the coin is showing as awaiting payment because eBay has REMOVED the listing.  They usually send you a message saying it was removed, most likely reason for this removal was a suspicious buyer.   Since you are a 0 feedback new seller you are going to attract scammers when you try to sell high priced items.

You do NOT "accept" bids.  You sell to the winner at the end of the auction.

This person is trying to scam you.

Tips for staying safe selling:

Never share contact information before an item is paid for using eBay checkout. All messages are made using eBay messages. You must ALWAYS ship to the address on the checkout page to have seller protection for proof of delivery. Stop talking to the scammer and do the following:

As a fellow seller I know how frustrating non paying buyers can be.

When a buyer doesn't pay you can cancel the sale after 4 FULL DAYS so on the 5th day cancel as buyer hasn't paid. This gives the non-paying buyer a strike on their account and they also will not be able to leave feedback. Then you relist OR do a second chance offer.  ( THIS IS NOT GOING TO WORK ON THIS SALE SINCE EBAY CANCELED BUT IT'S IMPORTANT INFORMATION)

If the buyer receives 2 or more strikes in 12 months then they are blocked from auctions or best offers for one year ( as long as the seller sets this up in account settings) and can only make immediate payment purchases, if they get too many strikes then eBay may remove the buyer from the site.

Do not send an invoice or it starts the clock over again for when you cancel as buyer hasn't paid. eBay sends payment reminders.

Unpaid items:

https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/resolving-unpaid-items-buyers?id=4137&st=1

Add the buyer to your blocked buyer list:

https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/BuyerBlock?

Have you set up your buyer requirements in account settings?

Click this link: https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/buyerrequirements Then block buyers with 2 or more unpaid items in 12 months.

If you are not shipping internationally also block buyers in locations you do not ship to.

Then at the bottom of the screen look for buyer Payment Requirements put a check next to both of these:
Require buyers to provide a payment method before they place a bid.

Require buyers to provide a payment method before they make an offer.

These settings will cut down on your non paying buyer issues.
