I sold an item using " calculate shipping". I listed the size & weight of the item & chose "Parcel Select" for the shipping option. The buyer chose an envelope the item will not fit in. The buyer has paid. I have sent them 4 messages / emails today asking them to refer to the listing & the size & weight listed in it & to choose an appropriate shipping method. I will ship it any method the buyer would prefer, however, it has to fit. I have not heard back from them. The buyer is not a novice. They have been a seller since January 2021 with over 2500 feedbacks & currently have 216 items for sale. I did offer to refund their money. How long should I wait before refunding their money so I can relist my item? Thank you for your help.

The buyer can only select what you offered. Since you can't print a parcel select label on eBay, the label print defaults to flat rate envelope - in most cases a poor choice for a substitution.
The buyer paid your calculated parcel select shipping - you can check the payment in your payment account to verify that. So you should ship the order as listed.
You can print a parcel select label through paypal and enter the tracking # into eBay. Or use a free service like pirateship.com that can import the address, and then send the tracking # back to eBay.

Both your sold items were listed with Parcel Select and that is what the buyer paid for. eBay may not be offering Parcel Select as a shipping option which is why you see the Flat Rate Envelope showing as a default. That doesn't mean you ship that way, it's just a default setting.
You need to ship your item. If you don't find Parcel Select as an option (there's a link to compare all services so be sure to click that and scroll down to see what's available), you'll need to either select Priority Mail and ship that way or take the package to the post office and purchase ground shipping there.
If you cancel, you will receive a defect on your seller account for not completing the transaction, and you don't want that.
