How is it possibly that ebay would allow a seller to ( be out of the office) for almost a year??

Sellers can stop selling for however long they want.  I stopped for over 2 years in 2012 - 2013 after being injured in an accident.  Or, the message could be a typo, since sellers can only set “Time Away” on their listings for 30 days at a time.

Person is still selling, but not answering questions. Also showing OBO. So unless they have a preset accept, will have to wait time out, or make another offer until you run out of offers. Just frustrating to see something you might want, can't  ask questions, and then if you do take a chance and buy now, will it actually get shipped?

Maybe they're in rehab, jail or deployed for a year.  It appears their listings are active and bring fulfilled through dropshipping.
