How do you delete your messages?

When I delete my messages they are sent to the TRASH folder, but I do not see any button to empty the TRASH folder.   What am I missing?

eBay takes out the trash after about six months. Until then the messages are kept for reference if needed.

The messages are stored on eBay servers - you merely have a view into them. They don't take up any space on your computer.
