How do i arrange return shipping once the return is closed?

I sold an item which the buyer has said is defective (it absolutely is not - the photos they sent are exactly how the item should be).  I had no option other than to authorise a refund and ask them to send it back to me.  They are now asking for a return code but the return is now closed and i don't know how to arrange this.  They currently have the perfectly fine item and the refund - its an expensive item so i want this back ASAP and i have a horrible feeling this is a big scam.  How can i arrange return shipping if they won't pay for it?

If you did not accept the return and ebay refunded, then you will have to send your own return label, if the buyer is still willing to return the item.  Open a free PirateShip account and create a pay-on-use return label to send to the buyer.

I did accept the return but its now closed so i can't send a return label - they say that they haven't received a return label (although this might be a lie).  Is PirateShip a US company?  I'm not sure i can use this in the UK.  Thanks for the reply!

If you accepted the return and are sure you opted to send a return label rather than just refund without a return, then ebay sent a return label, and in that case would not have refunded before tracking showed the item was returned to you.   So you either select no return necessary or you refunded before the item got back to you.

Best you can do now is ask buyer if he will still return the item.  Yes PirateShip is a US company that many ebay's use for shipping and returns.  It is free and has equal or better rates, more services, and better support than ebay shipping.   Make sure to opt for the pay-on-use label, so you don't pay for it in case buyer doesn't use it.
