Hi,

I need to ship from a different zip code than my return address with USPS. When we were still able to print off USPS labels through PayPal, this option was available. I cannot find anywhere on the page where your print off shipping labels a field where I can enter a different zip code for ship from. I am currently traveling and need to ship from a different area than my normal home return address.

On the right hand side of the shipping page under Order Details, click on EDIT just below your Ship From/Return To address.

I still want to keep my return address the same as always, I just need to add a SHIP FROM/DROP FROM zip code from where I will be dropping the package off. The SHIP FROM zip code is only used by the USPS to determine the cost of shipping when you are not taking to a post office in the same zip code as your return address. So far, I have not received a workable solution as no one at eBay seems to understand this problem. Before going on Managed Payments, if I had this situation, I would just log into my PayPal account to print off shipping label and there was a field where you could enter a SHIP FROM/DROP FROM zip code. This has never been available on the eBay website, but I think it needs to be added.

@rihabo1 Seems you no longer can just enter the Zip Code, but need to add a whole new address for the ship from address, which then will use that Zip Code for the origination Zip Code. Instruction are the same as posted before, but add a new address to use in the from field. The Return Address will still be printed on the package, but the origination Zip will be that of the ship from address.

I have tried doing what you are recommending, but when you enter a new address it must be an accurate address within that zip code or you get an error message stating there is no such address. Before, when you were still able to print off labels directly through the PayPal website, it was a simple task and there was a field supplied where you could enter a different SHIP FROM/DROP FROM zip code. Now you have to make up an address that does not exist, which seems very questionable. It is just frustrating that eBay cannot seem to get their act together when this feature had been available from PayPal in the past.

Ebay also had a very simple single field for the Origination Zip Code that was easy to change, now it is just one big mess, because the managers and programmers evidently never use ebay so don't understand what sellers need or even how it works.

Guess you could put in the address of the post office. Or a great alternative other than PayPal is to get a free Pirate Ship account, or a free ebay Stamp.com account. Both import from ebay and have lots of extra options.
