How do I find Freight shipping costs for a large item I have for sale?

I have made a listing for a large item 36X16X22  180 Lbs. For some reason the only options available to me are with USPS, FEDEX or UPS, They will not accept any packages as heavy as I have to ship. Is there a way to find out what carriers are available and what type of flat rate will be charged?

To estimate freight shipping, you would find carriers local to you, then call them and ask them to quote a price to one or two sample locations. eBay can not help you with this. Start with an internet search for freight carriers in ______ - your location.

The easier option is to list the item for local pickup only.
