How can you confirm if the address is a scam?

Google it, but if ebay supplied it and gave you the ok to ship to it, you have seller protection.

You don't have to confirm any address. As a seller, you are required to ship to the address provided by the buyer at checkout (i.e. the address in your order details) when eBay tells you it's time to ship.
