Can someone help , we thought we knew all.... Scan sheets are worthless until each individual item gets its first scan that could happen at drop off location or a sorting center 50 miles away, meanwhile if any package is lost for any any any reason including sticky fingers disease lets call it....after so many years we learned the hard way and lost over $3600 watch recently.....USPS will not pay or honor/consider any claim unless the tracking shows " USPS in POSSESSION " what most people don't know since usps disclaimer is next to impossible to locate in regards to the scan sheet TRACKING receipt that is smartly worded for deception as such "Shipment Received, Package Acceptance Pending".....FREE ADVICE > if you are shipping something insured/expensive that you can not afford losing , NEVER EVER give to post office without an individual SCAN receipt ! DON'T USE THE BULK SCAN SHEET .
The SCAM SHEET deception is horrific lie......you might as well use KIOSK to scan packages and then put in drop box without getting any human attention to any particular package SADLY 😞

I think it's up to the post office, some won't do any. One person here reported their post office will scan five.
I would talk with your postmaster about what you were told concerning the claim.

The scan form that you print for a batch of bulk labels includes the tracking for each individual package. when the scan form is scanned, each package receives the acceptable scan. You do NOT need to have each package scanned individually (which would defeat the whole purpose of the scan form).
I've been using bulk scan sheets daily for 18 years for about 70,000 items. When the one sheet is scanned, the tracking number for each package in the batch is updated with "Shipment received - acceptance pending." That means it's accepted by the post office or mail carrier and is in their possession.
Something else went on for your lost package claim. Either it wasn't insured, or you didn't provide the package tracking # (not the scan form #) when you filed your claim...or something else.

Thank you for reply , insurance was denied because tracking on that item still shows "Shipment received - acceptance pending." clerk said a claim will be considered only when tracking shows "usps in possession/in transit" he said they have no proof other then our word that the item was in the bag that they dump in cage after scanning bulk sheet code ???? We are looking at our options .
Do you know how many prepaid package can you request to be scanned per visit ?
Thank you much
