How can I retract a counter offer

I made a counter offer before seeing that the product listed has a serious defect. Can I retract my counter offer?

Go to the listing and click on CONTACT SELLER. Let the seller know you would like him/her to please decline your counter offer.  Ask nicely, as the seller is not obligated to do so.
