Hello,
I am a long time buyer, new seller on ebay, started in July. I was able to sell and receive my payments with relatively no issue, maybe one or two email verifications here or there.
Suddenly I get a message from ebay asking me to verify my identity with a photo of my I.D and a copy of a bank statement. I found this to be silly as nothing was an issue before, but I had a bit of money on hold from items waiting to be delivered. That was 2 weeks ago, and nothing has been verified even though they claim the process would take two days.
I contacted customer support a few days ago, asking about the process and in a very automated and non helpful or informative way I was basically given copy pasted ebay policies on why this was needed and what I had to do. I already understood this and was just asking why it hasn't been verified yet but it was clear that this was going nowhere, so I decided to resubmit the documents that were asked of me.
It has been 5 days since then. I don't understand what else they want from me. I don't owe ebay any fee's, and I have money sitting that I can't access.
If anyone has a more direct way of contacting someone or general advice on the issue I would be glad to hear it. I don't want to get some silly fee for ebay holding my money when they won't let me access it or something like that.

You could try requesting a call back from the link at the bottom of this page - it should get you right to the payment team -
I do know they are doing a lot of this verification right now, not that knowing that helps you get paid sooner 😞

Thank you for your reply, they did say this was a process being required by everyone now so yeah that would make sense.
It's hard not to be a little anxious when you know you're you and just waiting for the money. I will use that link if the verification does not happen within the next few days.
Thank you.
