Today, Aug 8, 2025 my shopping cart is not accepting my credit card that I have always used and successfully used last week. I get the message "Your payment method does not have sufficient funds. Select a different payment method or try again." This happened after I accepted a special offer but decided not to go ahead with the purchase after seeing it in my shopping cart. What follows xeplains the steps.
I got message in my eBay Messages of special offer 15% off a product that I had in my cart from the day. I added item clicked on it and it routed me to check out and it had PayPal credit card payment selected before that I had not yet bought. I did not want to use PayPal credit. I went back to my Summary page and then to my Shopping Cart. My shopping cart showed special offer item in my cart and I removed it. Then I tried to check out because I had another item already in my cart. I choose credit card that I always use and has nowhere near maxing out. Item in cart is under $20.
I tried to fix by removing all items in cart (only had the one item in cart at this point and it was not the special offer item), signed out and back into eBay, added the one item (not a special offer item) to my cart and selected credit card and clicked Confirm Order. Again I got error message mentioned above.
