Help! I recently sold a phone and the buyer fraudelantly said they could not get the phone connected because it was still in my name which is a LIE because I had already switched carriers, did a factory reset and network unlocked it. Buyer filed a complaint eBay found in their favor charged me $24,95 refund plus $20 dispute fee even though I challenged the case I couldn't talk to a person or write a message only send pictures which couldn't explain this situation correctly, they automatically charged my bank without my permission I canceled the charge with my bank they continue to recharge I can't delete my bank account and I don't want to delete my entire 19 years and 100% feedback on eBay over $45 but I feel like I'm being held hostage by eBay and no one to actually talk to just automated responses and one-sided dispute cases and where is the eBay guarantee? For $25 it should have easily been covered, if eBay is not going to choose in buyers favor regardless then they should cover it and not even have a dispute case. The Shady thing is when I go to appeal the case it says there's not been any open cases on me and everything looks good am I being hacked? I've never had the situation in 19 years Help!

The problem is that eBay sides with buyers if they have such a complaint.
Ebay wants you to accept a return and send a return label to the buyer.
If you wait with that longer than 3 business days, the buyer can ask eBay to step in. Ebay can decide that the buyer gets their money returned without returning the item. You can get a nasty defect. Check your seller dashboard.

I've been selling on eBay for 20 years! I sell items I no longer want or need. I am not a big Corporation and I cannot afford to get scammed by buyers saying item is not as described when it completely is. eBay gives you no recourse, they side with the buyer 90% of the time. On top of stealing a refund when you clearly say "No Returns / No Refunds" they also charge you a $20 dispute fee! for what? The dispute process is completely automated. I cannot talk to a real person or have anybody actually hear my case or even have the option to provide written evidence and information. There is also no way to delete your payment Source ie: Bank account without replacing it with another one basically they're holding your bank account hostage forcing you to have a way that they can take money from you without your authorization. The item in question was only $25 and should have easily been covered by the eBay guarantee. This site was formed so that the common man could sell used items and possibly make some income. It is not Amazon nor Walmart nor does the commonwealth seller have corporate backing and billions of dollars to write off whenever someone decides to scam them. DO BETTER EBAY! REMEMBER YOUR ROOTS!

The buyer went to their funding source and disputed the charge.
Once they go to their funding source, Ebay doesn't decide, their bank does.
You gave them permission to pull the funds from your bank when you listed the item.
