HOW TO PACKAGE DINING ROOM CHAIRS FOR SHIPMENT

If you are going to use any of the carriers (USPS/UPS/Fed Ex), then a box is indeed required.  If you are shipping several chairs, totaling more than 70 pounds, you will need a freight shipper.  They may not require a box, so check with each freight shipper in your area.

 

I would try using Local Pickup first, so you do not have to deal with shipping, and let the buyer deal with it.

@2011chillypepper  Dinning chairs should be listed as local pickup only not with any shipping.

 

 Unless they are something extra special the cost of freight is gonna be way more than the cost of the chairs. 

 

 They would most likely need to be crated to be able to ship via freight.   They are too large to ship using regular postal methods.
