HELP

Multiple charges for the same amount usually appear as a threesome. First, a hold is placed on the card funds as the charge begins. Then the actual charge is applied, and finally, the hold is released.  All that remains is the actual charge.

If an item is appearing on your credit card statement that you did not purchase:

1) check with other members of your household who may have had access to your unattended computer.

2) check all of the addresses on your eBay account settings to verify the contact info (phone, email, address) are all correct. Change your password.

3) look in your purchase history for the purchased item. If you find it there, check tracking to see if it was delivered. If delivered, but not to your address, then likely your account was compromised and changing your password should resolve that. You are responsible for the security of your own account.

4) you can dispute the charge with your bank or card company if it does not appear in your eBay purchase history.
