How many tracking numbers do eBay Global Shipping Program receive before arriving at destination: from (1) Local Postal System to (2) International Hub to (3) Arrival at Destination in other country, then Local Country's Postal System Tracking . . . How many tracking numbers does each Global Shipping Program shipment get before arriving at buyer's home / final destination?

eBay neither offering answers to difficult, convoluted shipping issues, but only expecting the "Global eBay Community" to do their work on eBay's behalf without any compensation whatsoever is a huge online business cop-out, and an appalling, slacker business practice.

Each carrier issues its own tracking number and with international shipping, there will be multiple carriers. eBay posts as many tracking numbers as needed to keep you informed.
Is there a problem?
As for the Community, this part of the site is for eBay members to interact with each other. The mentors who respond on this board do not work for eBay so of course there is no compensation, nor does eBay "expect" us to work. We do this in our spare time or when we need to take a break because we like helping fellow eBayers. Most of us got our start in the community as new eBayers who needed help or enjoyed learning from others. This is a way for us to voluntarily give back.
If you prefer, you can always contact eBay support directly for help.

Thank you so much for your kind response! So the gist of your answer is that because once eBay has payment of each item or group of items, they bow out of the issue alltogether. Then it is up to each initial carrier i.e., Royal Mail, through multiple additional carriers before delivery to final destination, the purchaser/addressee cannot those carriers are in advance for what reasons? In the past I've gotten 3 different tracking numbers -- one from the original carrier of the country (Royal Mail), then once it hits the International Shipping Hub, a second tracking number such as one that begins with something like: UPAAF and possibilty some zeros following the letters. The third tracking I eventually get is a USPS = United States Postal Service tracking number, which may be conveyed upon receipt of the package, or not until it actually is out for delivery to the purchaser. Would it be too much trouble for eBay to have a central relational database that would coordinate the original tracking numbers through delivery tracking numbers, so that the receiver of the package can view its movements toward delivery? I look forward to an answer from this or another Mentor regarding this issue. Best regards,

Hi @zooing
Do you have a magic computer that adds text to a response that isn't there? 😊 Where did I write anything about eBay bowing out after payment is received?
As I wrote before, eBay posts the tracking information for each carrier. As it is received by each carrier, the tracking information is posted all in one place for both the buyer's and seller's review. Just click the tracking # for the order transaction, and all of it is consolidated and can be accessed from one pop-up window, no matter how many carriers are involved. Scroll down the window to see all of the information. The individual tracking # and related updates are shown as the information is received by eBay.
We want your journey here to be as great as can be, so we have put together some links to help you get quickly familiarized with the eBay Community.
