Hi there....This is my first time using Global Shipping Program on ebay. I'd like to know if anyone here uses it?
If so, is it a good program to use for shipping internationally? Does ebay add additional charges to the seller? I live in the U.S., and I have to ship a package to Canada.
I would appreciate it if anyone could give me some advice, opinions, etc. on it.
Thank you very much...Belinda

@pickles5057 I use the Global Shipping Program. There is no extra cost for the seller.
The buyer pays you for the item and shipping to the GSP center in Kentucky.
The buyer then pays the GSP for international shipping and any import fees that are due.
You are protected from lost/ late or damaged in shipment claims after the item leaves Kentucky.

Thank you for your reply. I read some of the posts here on the program, and alot of people had negative remarks about using it. Now I don'tknow if I should use it. This is so frustrating. Have you used it yourself?
If so, how did it go?

@pickles5057 As I said in my reply I use the GSP.
I started using it when the pandemic hit because a buyer can file a refund request when a package is just a day late reaching their country. There are STILL a lot late shipments and some countries that you can only ship to with the GSP since USPS is not delivering there.
If the package is late arriving in the buyers country and the buyer files a claim then the GSP issues the refund and it doesn't come out of your pocket. You just have to get the item safely to Kentucky.
The other shipping program eBay offers is eBay international standard delivery. I personally wouldn't use that program because I feel the GSP offers better seller protections.

I don't use the GSP because it charges the buyer more in costs, and I limit which countries I am comfortable shipping to using USPS.
