Gift cards cant be found

I bought two eBay gift cards as birthday presents for two people I have known since i was young. After i gave them it they went to check the balance and it said these gift cards could not be found pleases type the 13 digit again and they did and the same thing came up. I didn't give the gift cards to anyone else and the moment i bought them i wrapped them up for the persons birthday. So i am not happy. I went back to the store i bought them which was Walgreens and they told me to message you guys, because the cards was activated upon buying. This was  roughly 5-10 hours after purchase. They also have a no refund policy so i am reaching out to you guys because i don't know what else to do and i cant buy the people new cards for their birthday to replace these ones as i have no more money. So what can I do now?

Had it been more than 4 hours since you purchased the gift cards before you give them away?  and you took the receipt and cards back to Walgreens and they stated the cards were activated correctly?  If so, I would have Customer Service call you.

Yes it was their birthday was today and tomorrow and i bought them yesturday one in he morning the next at 553pm last night
