Getting refunded for undelivered items. What to do next?

Hello there,

I recently ordered several items and three of them never got delivered and they were all from three different sellers. The thing is, I contacted all of them and was shown and told the items were actually marked as delivered to my mailbox via USPS.

I'm the only person other than the mail carrier who has a key to my own mailbox, and all the other items I ordered around the same time were delivered safely. It's only these three particular ones.

I was able to contact an eBay help agent who reviewed all three of my cases and assured me that I would be covered even though they never actually arrived, once I asked eBay to step in. Fast forward to today, I ask eBay to step in for the items and I get a prompt response saying I won't be refunded and that they closed the case. I still have the transcript of the conversation I had with the eBay agent.

I tried contacting another agent but was only able to email eBay for this problem. I did that, as well as opened cases for all three items with PayPal, just to be safe. I'm now waiting for responses from both, but what exactly happened? I went from being covered to now potentially losing hundred of dollars with no fault of my own.

Is there anything else I can or should do right now? Please, any help would be appreciated.

If the PO says it was delivered to your mailbox, you credit card will not do a charge back since this would mean that the package was stolen.

You would file a police report, a mail theft report with your PO, and a claim with your home insurance if the value is over your deductible.

I don't now why the agent told you that you would be refunded when tracking showed delivery to your zip code.  Once there is a delivery scan, it becomes your responsibility to wok with the carrier to locate your package.

Go to your PO with the tracking #s and ask the clerk to look up the deliveries.  The scanners have gps, so they can see exactly where the packages were delivered.  If mis-delivered, the carrier should try to retrieve the packages.

If the packages were not sent to your address, ask the clerk to give you something in writing that says this.  You don't need to know where the package was sent, just that it was not to you.  With that, you can contact customer service and appeal the decisions.

Thank you for the response.

I'll do that soon, while I'm waiting to hear back from PayPal (which I don't have high hopes about).

I don't know exactly how their gps system works, but if it doesn't work out, and all they do is tell me that it was delivered to my mailbox, would you recommend the next step be starting a chargeback with my credit card company?
