Getting in touch with eBay for help on a buying issue

Here's what happened:

  • bought a product from a seller
  • product was defective after 5 days
  • started a return with the seller
  • seller asked if they could send  a replacement in lieu of a refund
  • I accepted the offer for a replacement
  • Replacement arrived and was also defective
  • I reached out to the seller for a refund
  • They replied to my message that they would issue a refund
  • It's been more than 2 weeks and nothing and they won't respond to my further messaging

Getting in touch with eBay for help on a buying issue

@edlo.us.j01u67qe Did you close the return request?   If not then return to the case and ask eBay to step in.

How to ask us to step in

  1. Find the item in your Purchases.
  2. Select See request details (if your item didn't arrive) or See return details (if you're trying to return an item).
  3. Select Ask eBay to step in and help.
  4. Select a reason from the dropdown menu, then select Confirm.

Go to Purchases

eBay will force the seller to issue a return label or a full refund.

Never accept replacement items.  Get a refund then if you wish to buy again you can.  This works out much better for the buyer.

If the case has timed out OR you closed it then you'll have to contact your bank or credit card for a charge back.
