Been a pretty common occurrence lately has happened several times my card will get charged twice for the same item which then in turn keeps me from that much o my available balance and has put my acct. in the red which then costs $ CROOKS

I am done after 20 yrs with 100% feedback these greedy pukes can have their CHINESE JUNK Yeah I'm upset Disabled trying to live on a set income then having to spend hrs. on the phone to get my Insurance from dropping me for lack of funds. It does happen low life scammers

This is standard operating procedure for banks. The amount of the charge is held until the actual charge goes through. It falls off at that time. No one could see it before online banking, but it has always been this way. If you look when you pump gas, this is printed on a sticker.
I used to work at a bank so I saw this all the time. Easiest explanation is that a check can be returned for insufficient funds, but a debit card purchase cannot. The amount is held and the debits are taken out first and then the checks are paid.
