I've just learned of Ebay's policy of placing funds on hold I was messaged saying it was on hold for 14 to 30 days because of issues with my account, problems with my selling history, performance, and address disputes ??? nothing explained. I've been an Ebay member for 24 years with 651 transactions and 100% feedback. Is this a new Ebay policy? If my listing all sell now, about $500, with this hold policy, though the buyer paid, Ebay gets to use my $500 for 14 to 30 days to use as they wish. It is like I'm giving a loan of $500 to Ebay and the can pay me back in 14 to 30 days, in the meantime they use the money as they wish. Multiply all their 10's of thousands seller's money they have on hold to do as they wish with that's great amount for Ebay to use. At Ebay's value 29 Billion dollars (2019 figures) I cannot see why I need to basically lend them money for 14 to 30 days. I can understand a few day wait for posting, but no for this long of period.

It looks like you had a long break in selling and just recently started again (those slot cars sure bring back some good memories of a misspent youth). Anyway, when that happens eBay treats you as if you are a new seller and new sellers are subject to having their payments on hold until eBay is confident the transaction was successful. You can read about it here:
You just learned about this, so there are probably lots of other changes you do not know about. You might want to check out the Seller Announcements page:
