I have a 200 lb item that is on a pallet. It would need to be strapped down (which we could figure out) and crated-up for transport. It's not that big - around 3ft x 2ft x 2ft -
Who can I call to get an idea on shipping across the US? I guess I would have to get various quotes for various destinations.
How do you handle freight shipping?
Thanks

I do not recommend freight shipping. I suggest you use Local Pick Up only.
The local pick option is in the section if you are using the quick listing tool: http://shipscript.com/ebayhelp/lister_quick/ql_020_shipping_more.jpg
Do not check the shipping box. Scroll down and select more options at the bottom of this section and check the local pick up box.
Put a note in the description that the buyer can arrange freight pick up.
When the buyer arranges freight shipping you are not responsible if the item is lost or damaged in shipping.
Selling with local pick up:
Say Local Pick Up in the title. Scan the QR code or enter the 6 digit code that the buyer receives into the app when the buyer picks up the item so you have proof of delivery.
If you still wish to offer freight shipping then you will need to use the Business Tool
Select switch to the Business Tool on the upper right-hand side of the draft. Ignore the warning, anyone can use this tool.
You can also access the business tool by signing up for Seller Hub> https://www.ebay.com/sh/ovw Select listing> create listing>
OR open your existing draft after you sign up for Seller Hub> https://www.ebay.com/sh/lst/drafts

You need to contact local freight carriers to have them quote the services you need, plus shipping. Have them quote a few locations, so you can get an idea of a range to tell potential buyers.
Then after the sale, you get a quote to the buyer's location and send an invoice with the correct amount. The freight carrier will tell you what info you need - like does the buyer have a dock, or does he need lift gate service, curb service, etc.
