Free shipping item sells to an international buyer

Hi,

I'm brand new to eBay selling. Just listed my first item today.
Is there a setting within the app to deal with an item shipping's cost if it sells international?
I'm planning on offering free shipping at my store but I feel that if an international buyer hits my store, I will end up losing on the shipping cost. Wondering if there is a setting in which you can still offer free shipping but for international buyers, eBay calculates the shipping cost and overwrites the free shipping.

Please let me know or any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hi @sacady_huds_collectibles

I work on a PC and the listing tool has two shipping sections for Domestic and International.  In your Account Shipping Prefences you can Opt into eBay's International shipping.  They ship the package from an eBay hub to international Buyers and you only ship to the Hub.  They take care of everything else.  The Buyer pays one shipping fee but it includes YOUR shipping to the Hub and the Hub's shipping to the customer.

You can also turn certain countries ON or OFF in the Exclude locations you ship to section of the Shipping Preferences.

For Domestic shipping you can set up Combined shipping too ... all that is on the linked page below.

Hi @mr_lincoln

That makes sense. I will check the shipping preferences and will adjust accordingly.

Thank you so much for your reply and detailed explanation!
