Fraudulent Buyer Issue

Hello, I'm looking for some guidance since eBay won't help. I'm dealing with a fraudulent buyer who is using different user accounts to mask their activities. I'm dealing with the 3rd attempt this morning in less than a month. I know it's fraud because they're using a third different account but same company name and address. The scheme being run is as follows:

* Purchase item, around $50, with an international account. Israel and Canada accounts so far.

* Put a US shipping address, the one being used is in Glendale Heights, IL, as delivery address.

* (Here's the kicker...) In comments the scammer writes "do not ship to this address" then puts a fake international address in the comments.

* Once item is delivered to US address, the scammer claims we, the seller, are at fault for shipping their purchase to wrong address.

* They file a claim with eBay. eBay gives them a full refund through buyer protection program. We are held harmless because we completed our obligation.

I spoke with eBay. They said I can report the buyer. Problem is, they use different accounts each time.

Fortunately, we receive notifications on any international sales, which is how we've caught the 2nd and 3rd attempts. We cancel orders because shipping address isn't valid.

Is their a way to get eBay interested in looking deeper into this scam? If it's happening to me, no telling how many other sellers are getting attacked.

I know our company wasn't harmed on the actual transaction but we all are affected. Our fees may increase to cover additional claims like this. Plus more scammers will invade eBay if the company doesn't take action.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you

Fraudulent Buyer Issue

As long as you're shipping to the address given on the order when they pay, you should be covered.

If Ebay is giving them refunds from their pocket, that's on them.

Have a great day.
