so on USPS
it says the package should be under 1 lb
When I google and look around, people say there is no "set limit" so you should be able to send a package up to 70lbs and that eBay has a contract with USPS for returns.
But my local USPS post office rejected my return package because it's 6lbs and too heavy for first class.
I've contacted the seller in hopes of getting a different label but I'm still curious what is the actual answer?

@povertyjob The post office is not correct. 1st class RETURN package shipping is not the same as outbound shipping, ebay has a special arrangement for return shipping. They bill the seller the correct price for the return shipment.
I have had return shipments sent to me with a 1st class return label on them that weighed 2lbs. Then I was billed for the priority rate for 2lbs
They will bill the seller using this system:

Thanks for the info. I think I will just drop off the package in their mailbox instead of trying to convince the clerks
