I was considering buying an iten. The feedbacl listed was 100% positive. I purchased the item. Then when it showed me the tracking info etc, the feedback is now 50%!!!! How can this be?? Can sellers manipulate this? I have screen shots of before and after. Needless to say, i concerns about what i will receive based now, on the lower rating.

One way that could happen is if the seller had only one positive feedback when you made the purchase, but then received a negative feedback before you viewed the tracking.

Hi @jgroteilat
Feedback scores can change as new ratings come in, and it’s possible for the seller’s overall rating to drop if they receive negative feedback from other buyers.
While it's unlikely, sellers can sometimes try to influence feedback, but eBay has systems in place to monitor and prevent fraud. If the feedback change worries you, here’s what you can do:
If your item arrives and there’s an issue, you can always contact eBay to help resolve things. And if you still feel uncomfortable, you have the option to cancel the order while it’s still within the cancellation window.
If you want to learn more about how feedback works, here’s the eBay Feedback Policy.
We want your journey here to be as great as can be, so we have put together some links to help you get quickly familiarized with the eBay Community.
